Sprung Immediate Aerospace Building Solutions
Sprung Structures designs, manufactures and delivers stressed membrane structures to provide economical, enclosed spaces quickly.
Membrane structures for the aerospace sector
Membrane structures are an innovative building solution that utilises architectural membrane panels placed under high-tension within a non-corroding aluminium substructure.
The structures can be quickly delivered and constructed even with limited foundations and can be fitted with a variety of cargo and hangar doors. As long as appropriate soil conditions are available, foundations are not required on structures up to 48.8m.
The structures range from 9.1m to 60.9m (30ft to 200ft) in width and can be any length.
Sprung’s structures are incredibly cost-efficient as the aluminium frame is lightweight and therefore easily transported. All Sprung products undergo vigorous, individual testing to ensure they are of the highest quality.
An optional superior performing energy-efficient Johns Manville formaldehyde-free insulation package is also available.
Energy-efficient, relocatable structures
In comparison to the pre-engineered metal buildings and traditional construction Sprung Structures’ products can be quickly and easily delivered and constructed allowing for businesses to open ahead of schedule or expand production.
Sprung structure can be shipped from inventory and erected at a rate of up to 2000ft² (186m²) per day
The modular clearspan design ensures Sprung structures are relocatable and expandable, as well as easily disassembled, moved and completely reconfigured.
The energy efficient fiberglass insulation package allows maximum heating and cooling performance in any environment due to the virtually air-tight membrane and fully-lofted fiberglass insulation.
With over 12,000 structures erected in 100 countries worldwide Sprung ensures exceptional service and support. 30 year guarantee on rust proof aluminum substructure and up to 20 year guarantee on architectural membrane.
Sprung’s structures meet requirements for most building codes and standards.
Aerospace applications for membrane structures
Within the aerospace industry membrane structures have a broad range of applications.
The relocatable clear span design and large width possibilities make the structures useful aircraft maintenance, while the easily expandable capacity makes them ideal for use as on-site warehousing.
They are ideal for housing large aircraft and their ability to be fitted with a range of hangar and cargo door systems makes them suitable for use as aircraft hangars.
