Newbow Aerospace Ltd is pleased to announce that it has recently received a 3-year contract from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of specialist aircraft tyre pressure check gauges.
To date, the Ministry of Defence has approximately 700 Newbow aircraft tyre pressure check gauges in service all around the globe, with each gauge being used on different aircraft fleets for various military operations.
Due to overall age and condition of the existing aircraft tyre pressure check gauges being used by the MOD, it has been agreed that approximately 700 units will be replaced over a 3-year period with newly modified, high spec units.
Over the past 25 years, the Ministry of Defence has preferred to use Newbow Aerospace aircraft tyre check gauges due to their high quality, reliability, robustness and accuracy.
Each unit supplied, will be calibrated to an accurate tolerance of 1% at reading which will ensure optimum tyre pressure settings are always achieved – resulting in extended tyre life and improved aircraft safety during take-off and landing procedures.
