Inflight Peripherals (IFPL), a company based on the Isle of Wight, the UK, has been granted EASA Production Organisation Approval (POA). This allows IFPL products to be supplied direct to customers with European-registered aircraft.
EASA approval compliments the company’s ability to supply PMA parts to USA-registered aircraft via its distributor, Aaxico. Geoff Underwood, managing director of IFPL, said: "We are pleased that our company has been recognized by EASA as having consistent and high-quality manufacturing capabilities. We believe this will increase customer confidence in our products and operational standards."
IFPL undertakes work for both airlines and IFE suppliers, and offers a design and manufacturing service for all issues surrounding seat-integration of IFE systems. The company is mainly known for its production of the highly reliable Long-life™ audio jack, the easy-to-maintain Rapid Fit™ jack and the noise-cancelling INCAM™ jack. Geoff Underwood explained that the company is currently expanding, with orders for data ports increasing alongside the audio jacks. EASA approval is therefore a natural progression which is important to the success of the company.
