Data Device Corporation (DDC) offers standard product drop-in transceivers as replacements for Aerofle’s UT63M105 and UT63M125 single and dual transceivers.
DDC’s BUS-63105, BUS-63123, BUS-63125, and BUS-63126 transceivers are complete transmitter and receiver pairs conforming fully to MIL-STD-1553A and 1553B, and will save Aeroflex customers the high cost of redesign and requalification, allowing them to continue production without interruption.
Aeroflex announced in April of 2009 that both the UT63M105 and UT63M125 (standard microcircuit drawing 5962-88644), 15-Volt, MIL-STD-1553 bus transceivers have reached end-of-life (EOL) status and will no longer be shipping after June 2010. DDC replacement transceivers are lower-power and are electrically and mechanically compatible to the discontinued items eliminating the need for time intensive and costly board redesign due to the transceiver obsolescence issue.
DDC offers a free white paper that outlines the procedure to smoothly transition from Aeroflex’s obsolete transceivers to DDC’s replacement parts.
