HART-COAT® uses a hard anodising procedure where a protective aluminium oxide coating is electrolytically created on workpiece surfaces.
The essential purpose of the treatment is to provide protection against wear and corrosion, as well as further functional improvements to components from nearly all industrial sectors. Almost all technically interesting aluminium wrought, casting and die-casting alloys can be refined with HART-COAT.
Large parts such as rollers, pipes, profiles, special tools or running rails for product distribution systems are hard coated in the HART-COAT large part plant.
Workpieces with a maximum weight of 5,000kg can be handled.
AHC Oberflächentechnik Kerpen sales manager Olaf Igelbrinck said: "The handling, covering and clamping of large components is very demanding. In addition, there are hardly any competitors who are capable of hard anodising parts up to 8m in length."
