328 Support Services GmbH has signed a two-year agreement for AOG support with SkyWork Airlines based in Bern, Switzerland. The arrangement will support the regional carrier’s five Dornier 328 turboprops.
The contract follows the succesful completion of maintenance work undertaken on a SkyWork 328 Turboprop at the company’s Oberpfaffenhofen facility, near Munich. The work was completed by 328’s engineers inside four weeks, leaving the hangar at the end of October 2015.
"The Dornier 328 has been a consistent mainstay aircraft at SkyWork Airlines supporting our scheduled route network," said SkyWork Airlines CEO and Chairman Martin Inäbnit. "It has helped us develop routes, grow our market share. We have enjoyed a long relationship with 328 as the Type Certificate holder."
This winter SkyWork Airlines is operating the Dornier 328s to Amsterdam, Berlin Tegel, Hamburg, Cologne/Bonn, Munich, Hamburg, Palma Mallorca and Vienna. The airline serves London City Airport from both Bern and Basel. Its complementary London Southend-Bern services will continue through to December 28th.
Since the end of March 2015 the route network has continuously expanded and now serves a total of 19 destinations. In April/May 2016 the D328 fleet will be complemented by two leased 50-seat turboprops.
Dave Jackson CEO of 328 Support Services GmbH stated: "We are pleased to expand our relationship with SkyWork Airlines on a long term basis."
